Thank you for your support over the past 14 years.
In 2001, when we “bought the farm”, Stillpoint was more of a dream than a reality. Kathy and I envisioned over-flowing baskets of tasty, fresh organic produce. And lots of wonderful customers coming to the farm stand to buy them. But it took a few years of spreading the word (beginning at the consignment booth at the Eugene Farmers Market), designing a nifty sign for the road (so people actually knew we existed), creating a nice website with information about the various produce we were offering, welcoming each new friend who happened to drive in (we consider many of you to be “old” friends now), and streamlining our offerings based on customer feedback (berries, berries, and more berries).
Last season, we leased the farm to a young couple. They didn’t have farming experience, but we all did our best to make it as successful as possible.
2015 finds us shifting once again. Stillpoint Farm is going to offer just two berries for your u-picking pleasure: blueberries and raspberries. Both of these are perennial plants and they are happy and healthy. Both ripen starting the first of July and continue to produce through September. The strawberries finished up their third year and so it’s time to pull them out and/or till them under. We will be opening up the strawberry field early next Spring for u-digging the plants (probably February). At this time, no new strawberry plants are planned.
So, that’s the latest from here. As we move into the new year, we’ll post more updates. If you’d like to contact us, please email Gina from the Contact Page. We would love to hear from you!
